about how she has had a weapon for some time now. She has kept one to protect herself and her children. She pointed out how much more likely harm is to loved ones from having a weapon in the home. She has made the decision to get rid of her weapon by turning it in. We need more like her to step forward and realize that weapons do not make peace or create safety. They create chaos and fear.

My weapon stays in my house, because I know that not all people are good and upstanding...I know how to use my weapon because I received the best training the US Army could provide...I purchased my weapon legally and even had a background check...so with or without your permission I will keep my weapon until such a time when the safety of me and my family are a guarantee and not because I have to depend on 911.
