(13,473 posts)Florida's 6th, Michael Waltz's old seat, who resigned to become Trump's National Security Advisor, is more flippable, but given recent voting trends in the district, it would be an uphill battle. "The district contains over 525,000 registered voters, of whom just over 39% are Democratic, while slightly more than 41% identify as Republican." There are a lot of so-called "Independents" in the district who mostly vote "R." Dems haven't done well there for years.

(5,037 posts)Understanding both republican districts, I can’t help but have my first thought.. can we trust the result? The other, there may be more people feeling that what is happening now is NOT what they voted for.
To me, there’s only one thing we can do, Fight as if our lives depended on it. Plaster social media, call the office of whomever is running, and tell them you’ll donate for them to
-make ads,
-for FB,
-for Instagram,
-for YouTube,
-for streaming services,
-for AM Radio,
-for college radio,
-for mainstream media.
Tell them to get reach out to their local supporters and have them write letters to their town papers
Tell them you want town halls,
Tell them to contact online media to cover these
and go camera in hand-
town to town
one town one night,
the next town the next night.
There’s very little time, and no time to waste.
It’s no joking matter anymore, they need to pound the pavement, roll up their sleeves and fight!
