JD started it.

Trump took a cue from JD and escalated it. But, JD running his mouth started it. I don't know why the sychophants feel compelled to say stuff to make trump feel like they are supporting him. It's just fear.

trump is mentally off, and taking cues from others. He's really a danger to our country. Everything he says is recycled from some prior speech. The talking points are old and have been heard over and over. There was little of substance communicated except that the two WH bullies were on full display. JD will be lucky if trump doesn't have him killed.

I’ve been out of the loop for the last few hours.

It’s only a framework and from what I heard on NPR Zelensky has made them change all the parts they want.

Despicable, horrible people.

so he started criticising him. Trump said he was on the side of both Russian and Ukraine, but he couldn't negotiate if he criticised Russia (of course, he was fine with calling Zelenskyy a dictator a few days ago), and Vance really started talking shit, and then Trump joined in.

Planned? Quite likely by Vance; whether Trump was in on it at the start, who knows - Vance and others may have just thought "he'll follow our lead if we need him to".

Trump won't do anything about Vance. His Republican lackeys are praising Trump and attacking Zelenskyy, so Vance has gone up in Trump's eyes.

“The path to peace and the path to prosperity is maybe engaging in diplomacy,” Vance said after pre-empting Trump’s attempt to field one last inquiry from the media. “We tried the pathway of Joe Biden, of thumping our chest and pretending that the president of the United States’ words mattered more than the president of the United States’ actions. What makes America a good country is America engaging in diplomacy. That’s what President Trump is doing.”

Zelenskyy then asked for and received permission to address Vance directly, noting that Ukraine had previously made diplomatic agreements with Russia that were then violated.

“He killed our people, and he didn’t exchange prisoners,” a visibly agitated Zelenskyy said, referring to Putin, who has been at war with Ukraine for three years. “What kind of diplomacy, JD, you are speaking about? What do you mean?”

Vance shot back that it was "disrespectful" for Zelenskyy to "come to the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media." Things only got more tense from there.
