Poll: Was the Presidential Election legitimate?

Just a survey to see where we stand here on DU. Do you think there was cheating and interference to get Trump elected. Not asking who or how, but how DU members think about it.

We know there was voter suppression, so those answering yes could simply be referencing that...

I don't believe the election was stolen. Do I believe that there were efforts to make it harder to vote for Democrats? Sure, but since they weren't struck down, those efforts were technically legal. Did the Trump campaign lie and make false promises? Well of course, but candidates have been doing that for centuries.

Did people stay home that could have voted for Harris? Most certainly.

I certainly don't believe that maga winger election/poll workers are all above board and not susceptible to cash-filled envelopes.

I'll never believe that trump won all the swing states legitimately, which now decide the election in presidential cycles.

Harris supporters were phone banking from states all over the country, and some even traveled to canvass in swing states.

Given that every blue state certified the results in their own particular state. Given that Harris conceded. Given that the Democrat SOS in Michigan certified the results in that state. Given that no one in Congress considered to be on our side challenged the EC vote of any state.

could have beaten Vice President Harris by sweeping every swing state. I have trouble accepting that myself.

But on the other hand I just don't see how they could have come up with some way to steal the election. The Democrats had an army of lawyers ready to pounce on any irregularities. But they found nothing and VP Harris promptly conceded.

I was hammered here for that, with most saying she'd get well over 300. The truth is, I didn't even think she'd get 280, I just couldn't say it. I knew we were in trouble by October.

Then it turned out that I was correct and the Democrat did lose but the people who flamed me for being what turned out to be right didn't even come back to apologize after it turns out I was correct after all.

When Bush 'won' in 2004... the Golden Days of the DU BTW LOL... but when Bush won, it was very clear but this time... aside from some pretty clear voter suppression and rather questionable tactics, there's not much to support a straight up hack.

Not to me... if anyone is trying to convince me of a hack of the system and an outright steal... that has not happened yet. I don't put it past him... I just don't see it. I don't know as much about it as some but it's not as clear as it was in 2004... I think we lost because America just didn't like the idea of a Woman and even worse... a DEI Hire as they call it... I had no idea how much that idea is hated out there...

I have literally been in my lab for years working on math so I had no idea people gave a shit about that... I honestly thought we had that shit figured out in the 80's. Who cares what your skin color or gender is like... what color is your money and do you have any coke... that's pretty much where I thought we left it... damn... I feel like Rip Van Winkle... or Rip Van Halen I should Say LOL....

People pushing that conspiracy theory are, in reality, claiming (if that claptrap is actually real) that the Harris campaign and the Biden administration were in on the rigging, as they were aware of the claims (that part is true, it was all over the internet, etc) they had a FAR FAR larger investigative structure, incredible power and overall resources (legal included), and yet they did nothing about the bullet ballot theory, they stood down.

The actual reason they didn't act on it?

Because it was and is a crackpot CT.

Shameful and maddening to see people, following their own logical flow, accusing Harris and Biden of being in on the 'steal', as that is exactly what they are doing, whether intentionally or not.

Ever since Citizens United, dark money flowed like the Mississippi river. They knew exactly where to target the racists, homophobes, etc. They knew who were the one issue voters, and were essentially using propaganda ever since Biden was swore in. They were campaigning for four years.

Was this a clean campaign, absolutely not, but it doesn't mean it was illegal. Lot of stupid people out there. And here's the rub, we have figure out how to get them to vote D.

(as I've stated earlier and a number of times) a massive and long carried out right winged effort to suppress and cull the vote, as well as other actions and measures that gave them the power to challenge, even throw out, and refuse to certify voter outcomes they didn't like.

All in our faces and apparent to anyone paying attention. Trump fairly bragged about what they'd done in Georgia, for example.

Actions of which I'd written about for some time now.

Take a look at what they're doing in North Carolina.
