(11,605 posts)This chained CPI is terrible. If raising the cap is off the table I wish they had at least done means testing instead of this stupid formula that assumes people can substitute even though they have already cut back and hurts younger people the most.

(7,549 posts)It talks about the clause that Carney mentioned as protecting low income seniors, disabled on SSI and veterans but what about Disabled lower income people on SSD?
I am not protected because I once worked for a living when I was still healthy enough to do so?

(7,549 posts)In this case I will be 100 percent happy to admit I am wrong though if it does not get cut.
In fact I will post a big apology to the President and to all those here who have said he wouldn't cut it, if it does not get cut. I will also write him a personal apology through the White House email.
But if chained CPI gets passed I will consider that a cut. So it that happen, no apology.
