The Fiscal Cliff
is really a huge trench dug by politicians on both sides. They needed something to scare themselves into action. They also needed a bogeyman to point to and claim they had to do the unpardonable or the monster would get us. That would justify any and all betrayals of 'rock solid' promises.
They need to walk 1/2 mile to the side and meet face to face. The artificial emergency will be gone. Then they can find some needed stones and do something worthwhile. If nothing else, Congress and the Prez can keep ungoverning and spend some meaningful time quietly visiting the people hurt by their games. Maybe they will get a minute clue.
At least by staying away, we can be spared their tiresome tragicomedy and accompanying whining. The media will be a nanosecond behind so we will miss their dreck too.
