But no, it's about guns. I had to share this paragraph, however...

He thinks we are going to run out of guns. I wonder if he wants to buy an overpriced used car? Everyone knows those are next.

1. He is probably assuming there will be a ban, so he is buying it now before the ban.

2. He is buying a 9mm. Unless we overturn the 2nd amendment, which no one except the NRA and

Limburger or whatever his name is says we are trying to do, there will still be guns. And most of us don't want to get rid of them.

We just want people to not use them to murder children and innocent people, kill themselves, about 32,000 a year. We are going to hurt and maybe bring early death to 13 million if we cut Social Security, so we don't need the help.

What we need is more logic in the minds of those who buy them, I suspect.

4. Gun control up, gun sellers win. Gun control down -- gun sellers win. Gun control up in the air ...

Gun dealers -- and more so, manufacturers-- are at the heart of this issue. I think the NRA has become a propaganda arm of the small arms industry. They know how to play this country like a violin. Scare people that their guns will be taken, and they buy. Scare people that OTHER people have more firepower than they, and they buy. Up and down we go, but at the end of the day, it's arms manufacturers and their profits that always wind up on top.

This goes to the whole conversation, more than I think we discuss. This isn't about people who like guns and people who hate guns. It turns into that, because that's a sure road to nowhere.

We need to look at the elements of our firearms laws that help manufacturers and dealers flood the streets with weaponry.

National computerized registration, without exception, seems like a no-brainer, that somehow somehow comes in 10th or 12th to talking about types of weapons or psychological testing.

This fight is about fear mongering, driving a compulsion for people to be "ready," not for hunting season. Not even for an intruder, but for an "apocalypse," where "the other guys" have more weapons. Minorities and the government are coming to get you, oogadah-boogadah! You won't be able to buy this weapon next week, egad!"
