Teachers are lazy, get paid too much, don't like kids

Are overall deadbeats and parasites sucking dry the taxpayers.

Or so the charter school and anti union and public employee folks say. They have had their pensions and pay cut, had their their hours and duties increased as punishment for sucking so bad, and are lambasted publicly every day. Heck, there's even documentaries and major motion pictures starring Oscar winners about how they suck so bad.

Basically, the Right thinks they are losers and incompetents.

But yet want to arm them and trust them with firearms and proecting their children's lives.

These people really have no sense nor shame.

just said something along similar lines; she's been so happy she's retired now as she hates what's being done to her beloved profession these past couple of decades (she started her career before the education unions existed and knows just how bad it was then without them). While she could keep firm discipline in the classroom (she taught at a boys juvenile reformatory for the last thirty years before retirement), she also is the type who doesn't even like to swat a fly or squash a bug. So to imagine her with a gun that she's also expected to use just does NOT compute. And the majority of her colleagues are the same. The RW might consider them to be "wimps", but I'd like to see most of them try to deal with what teachers deal with daily for just ONE day. Most of them, especially the gun-ho, couldn't do it.

That is just about the primary characteristic of conservatives, a total and complete inability to register cognitive dissonance.

That's why the can pivot on a dime from teachers are evil lazy slobs to make them carry gunz and give you nine cents change.

"extras" like art and music and foreign language, and then tell us teachers should have guns and the regular training to use them. They're fucking hilarious.

Textbook definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. That's exactly what we've been doing with guns and gun violence. More guns isn't the answer.

It's not just the right. I've heard much of the same from several at DU, and many elected Democrats treat us that way, too.

The contempt for public schools, public teachers, and teacher unions on DU is quite sickening to me.

Everyone said I look ten years younger. I do, I never knew the pressure I was under for those years. I am really happy to be retired.
