Is Obama still taking it to the people?

I was actually looking forward to it, there were reports that he was going to get out of Washington DC and barnstorm the country. That instead of negotiating with the GOP he was going to take it to the people and try to create pressure on the GOP that way.

I know he did some appearances, but it doesn't seem to add up to that kind of barnstorming tour.

people are too ignorant to get on the phone with their reps and raise hell, most people anyway, too caught up in their tv shows and video games
