Today I Learned 10-12 Citizens in Texas had a Shootout at an ICE Facility in TX

On the 4th of July!!!

It was an organized ambush that used coordinated tactics to draw out agents.

I did not see or hear about this anywhere in the news, from friends or family or even on social media until yesterday on Reddit.

If you search for the story, there is basic print copy that looks like it was copy/pasted directly from ICE’s website.

10 charged after ambush at Texas' ICE detention center

The Department of Justice filed a criminal complaint on Monday against 10 people who allegedly "organized an ambush" at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center in Texas on the Fourth of July.

Each individual has been charged with three counts of attempted murder of a federal officer and three counts of discharging a firearm during and in relation to a violent crime, according to the complaint.

The individuals fled the scene but were later apprehended, including Bradford Morris, who was taken into custody during a traffic stop. When Morris was detained, an officer discovered multiple firearms, including two AR-15-style rifles, ballistic vests and a helmet in his car, the complaint states.

"Morris admitted that he had been at the Prairieland Detention Center and claimed that he met some people online and transported some of them down from Dallas to the Prairieland Detention Center to 'make some noise,'" court records showed.

The fact the story seems suppressed and the way it is told sends up huge red flags.

Either it happened and the government asked the media to suppress the story, or it didn’t happen and ICE is trumping up charges against protestors.

If the former, it could be because ICE is trying to recruit agents and does not want this story to impact recruitment. ICE is offering big salaries and signing bonuses to unqualified recruits.

If the latter, it would not surprise me to see more folks quietly charged with crimes they didn’t commit.

This isn't the 50's and 60's, this is the 1850's and 60's. That was the last full blown fascist movement, and make no mistake the south was textbook fascist, this country faced. I'm not kidding. I don't hide from what these people are saying. I listened to that entire cabinets meeting yesterday with a puke bucket next to my chair. I still peruse the wack job MAGAt sites and forums. I watch Faux Newz, OAN and a couple others (I get headaches trying to think of them). I read side stories of interdepartmental goings on that almost never make it outside of small independent reporters who specialize. You often have to read between the lines because many of these people would be living in dumpsters if they caught the eye of Mordor because they make so little money for what they doo. They are covert domestic war correspondents.

My point is I stay as up to date as possible as to what these fuckers are really doing. I'm telling everyone right now, if you aren't willing to put your life, your blood on the line for this country, for your children's futures, you better hide in a basement and pray or leave. Its going to get bloody. They want and will get the fight a lot fiercer than they think. Their complete and total arrogance of superiority is so fucking out in orbit they won't see it coming. It's fucking on. Get yourself weapons. There easy to get because of these pricks and we're going to need them. The military will be nothing but referees in this one.

6. Which was why it was imperative

That democrats prosecute trump, immediately after jan 6th. We waited too long, and now it will be innocent, and democrats who will lose a lot of blood. We had a chance to rip the bandaid off, and we did not.

I would implore everyone to stop watching cable news. Delete social media. Shun your friends and family who are republican, trumpers, etc. There are no good republicans if they vote for ANY republican.

10. As a Texan, I read about it at the time.

It occurred around the time of the terrible loss of life for so many children and others during the flooding. It actually happened on the night of the 4th of July and it was completely overshadowed by the tragedy. Everyone was focused on rescue and recovery.

Plus it was a holiday weekend.

9. I heard about it. It may not have been banner news. But it was national for a day or two.

You're probably correct in that it didn't really go anywhere (when one might have thought it would).
And that might have been due to the government just not releasing a lot of information. That too - not really unknown in LE circles.

And, if I recall correctly, it was described as an 'ambush type situation' at the time.

Kinda glad they got the goobers. Sure we'll see more goobers in the future ...
