So apparently a big time Trumper will eventually own Tik-Tok. Why did we support this?

Tik Tok will become Twitter 2.0. Larry Ellison, will likely take control. Can someone tell why Biden and the Dems thought this was a great idea? I would just assume China control it than Trump. Now a Trumper will control the algorithm and now people will be bombarded with right-wing shit that wasn't there before. Why didn't Biden see this coming?

Why didn't Ruth Bader Ginsburg see the danger of not stepping down?

The party is woefully lacking in political strategy competence.

and separate 'content' ..? And you can't really make an argument against 'foreign actors' (and 'election interference'?) - without pointing to one of the major actors?

At best here, I suppose you can construct a credible argument that there will 'still' be influence ... (just like all the rest of the mega platforms?) What you can't really argue is that there wasn't influence in the prior ...

So many people just go by, "is Trump attacking or defending it?"

It leads to some really silly and awkward flip-flopping.

to this kind of 'mental shorthand' yardstick.)

So - you're worried about the cascading authoritarianism overtaking the U.S. - but you're not particularly moved - at the baked in and full on authoritarianism, of the largest country in the world? Gottcha!!

Can't have all those young people supporting Palestinians, can we?

Tik Tok has higher ratios of women, LGBTQ+ and left-leaning influencers than other platforms. Further, the ban/sale was supported by 42% of Republicans vs 24% of Democrats.

The sale is a loss-loss for us.
