The Nurse should have been let go as well due to blasting it on social media

From what I'm reading about this story, the doctor made this comment in a private setting and apologized when the nurse in question was offended. If the nurse had complained to HR and kept it all in-house, that's one thing. However, she chose to share this on social media, including the hospital's name and the doctor's name.

THAT should have been a fireable offense, too. I work for a fairly large hospital chain, and we have to take a "Code of Conduct" course every year. Posting things on social media that reference staff and the hospital by name is cause for discipline or even firing.

If the doctor faced "consequences", the nurse should have as well.
