Donald Trump blasted for 'disrespecting' King Charles with awkward mistake

US President Donald Trump has left members of the British public livid after committing a "cringe-worthy" mistake during his meeting with the Royal Family

Donald Trump has sparked fury by walking in front of King Charles. When the US President met the Royal Family and Windsor Castle, he was slammed for the discourteous act.

Viewers flocked to X to slam the faux pas, with one asking: "Trump walking in front of the King. Is that normal?" A second said: "I see Trump is walking in front of the King. Very cringe." Meanwhile, a third added: "Trump is walking in front of the King. Power move biggly."

As this commenter pointed out, it isn't the first time President Trump has been accused of disrespecting the British monarchy. During his last UK visit, he angered the public by stepping in front of the late Queen and blocking her from cameras.

At the time, one individual commented: "This is just a great depiction of who Donald Trump is. He cares only for himself." Meanwhile, others branded the US leader as "rude and vulgar".

No need to proudly advertise such a low station by tapping ashes on the carpet at someone else's house.

Will anyone in the worthless American media ask if he whether A) he wasn't briefed on polite behavior or B) he was briefed and cannot remember his briefing or C) he's purposely giving offense?

I doubt very much that anyone in the WH press corps has the... fortitude, let's call it... to do so.

Charles, who is only 3 years younger and has been struggling with pancreatic cancer, looks much better (and rather wry).

If Turnip does it, "self-centered" is always a given. He can't function any other way.

No doubt, there are a couple other things to criticize Trump over, but this aint one. I asked Google after hearing a report on today’s visit that it's OK for visiting heads of state to walk in front of the UK Sovereign. I asked Google and, and here is part of its response:

September 2025: Donald Trump visit. Following former U.S. President Donald Trump's inspection of a Guard of Honour with King Charles at Windsor Castle, some social media users mistakenly criticized Trump for walking ahead. However, royal sources confirmed that Trump had followed the established protocol for a visiting head of state, with the King inviting him to lead.

July 2023: Joe Biden visit. During a similar troop inspection, former U.S. President Joe Biden also walked in front of King Charles, an action that aligned with the official protocol.

Past royal events: This tradition has been observed for previous state visits as well. In July 2018, Trump walked ahead of Queen Elizabeth II during a troop inspection, which some commentators initially viewed as a misstep. However, later reports confirmed that it was standard protocol for the guest to take the lead in this part of the ceremony.

A Google search of images showed several photos of Presidents Biden and Macron being followed by a smiling King Charles as they inspect his troops.

Most assuredly, Trump will ass up on this visit, but he was invited to precede the King here

Anybody being courteous to him, the way OBAMA had no choice sitting next to him at the CARTER funeral, is supposed to be showing adulation and approval.

And the extravagant royal show is also supposed to be personal about him, whereas all of our allies know that the U.S. is absolutely necessary to their survival - or at least so far until KRASNOV hasn't destroyed it all - and their biting their tongues to defer is about the U.S., not about him personally.
