No gnashing of teeth as they did for the white woman killed by a Black man. No attention from Trump. Either a story fits their narrative or it's ignored.

Ever notice how these shootings almost always involved an AR-15? Once these weapons became easily available, white males became obsessed with owning one. These white male killers have some perceived grievances about how "wronged" they have been by society. They got the impression that they were owed superiority over other people - women, immigrants, blacks, you name it. They thought it was their birthright.

That the woman filing for the orders told the cops Ruth was in the cornfields. They should have been prepared for him to come from the cornfield. It sounds like they were expecting him to come from the house. I would be worried about a guy who hides out in cornfields. That's not typical behavior even for a stalker.

13. I had my local news radio station on this afternoon here in Philly and heard the press conference live.

Description was basically a white male dressed in camo who used an AR-15 style weapon to mow down 5 officers (3 ended up deceased) - all in his effort to go after an ex-girlfriend, who fled the house with her mother (and they locked the door when the left).

When the cops arrived at the house to serve the warrant, they found the door unlocked, and the shooter hauled off and started firing. The officers also fired (9mm) and one finally took him out. When LEO went through the house, they found the loon had shot and killed the ex-girlfriend's black lab with one shot.

The York County D.A. doing the presser sounded pretty broken up (I didn't turn on the TV or try to stream it - just listened on the radio).

43. I live in Harrisburg, about 38 miles from the location where this happened.

To be fair, this has dominated the local news over the past couple days. Note that York County, where this happened is extremely right wing/MAGA except for York City. The rest of the county is red as can be. Trump won over 62% of the vote in the county as a whole.

The family grew suspicious Ruth had been entering their property after an unknown suspect set his ex-girlfriend’s truck on fire in August, Barker said. After that incident, the family placed a trail camera on the property’s driveway.

Around 11:23 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16, Barker said the mother of the ex-girlfriend called police to report that camera captured Ruth on their property wearing a camouflage outfit and looking through a scope into their property. Barker said Ruth had an AR-15 style rifle slung across his chest in the still frame.

The evidence from that night led police to charge Ruth with misdemeanor stalking and loitering and prowling at night. Detectives went to Ruth’s home the next day and interviewed his family after he was not there. They then went to the ex-girlfriend’s home, where the family was not staying because of safety concerns, to continue the investigation.

Detectives and a York County deputy sheriff noticed the home’s front door was unlocked, which it should not have been, and entered. Barker said Ruth immediately opened fire, killing three detectives. Prior to the arrival of law enforcement, Barker said Ruth also shot and killed the family’s dog. “Make no mistake about it, and this I can conclude by all reasonable inferences from all information without speculation, had they arrived home and not Northern York County Regional Police Department officers, they would’ve been killed immediately by the actor,” Barker said.

Police were attempting to serve an arrest warrant with multiple charges against Ruth, including misdemeanor stalking, misdemeanor prowling at nighttime and summary criminal trespass.
