Just watched Colbert open his show. WOW! Trump will be screaming to have the show suspended now. 3 VIDEOS ADDED

Colbert nailed Carr, too.

NOTE - The third video below - which shows Stephen resurrecting The Colbert's Report feature The Word for the word "Shhhh!" - has now at least temporarily been made private. (EDIT - A different video with the same segment was uploaded later, and I've added that below.)
But I just found a Hollywood Reporter story about that segment which includes the show's Instagram post with the video, and it's still available there: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/stephen-colbert-report-character-the-word-returns-1236375670/
This Deadline article also has The Word: https://deadline.com/2025/09/stephen-colbert-the-colbert-reports-the-word-jimmy-kimmel-1236549071/

The third video is listed as "private," and therefore not viewable by us on DU. Wednesdays Sep 2025 #3
Just edited the OP to mention that. It was viewable earlier. CBS is apparently censoring it. highplainsdem Sep 2025 #5
Yep, censoring moves pretty fast these days, except for media on the Radical Right. ancianita Sep 2025 #12

Calling out the rich cowardly media owners.

And somehow he has a new book about a different topic too.

Even if he doesn't there are probably enough Sinclair CBS affiliates that that they'll demand Colbert be immediately fired by the network like they did Kimmel.

post about it, and share videos here as fast as they appeared on YouTube (and then disappeared, going private before another copy of the video was uploaded, as happened with the third video, The Word - and then I was able to find articles linking to the show's video on Instagram, but I wasn't sure if whoever had ordered the third video made private on YouTube might be able to do the same with the Instagram copy).

Someday I'll be able to catch up on sleep I've lost because of Trump. But last night those videos seemed much more important, and I was thrilled by what Stephen did.

waited too long before acting and by then the fascists had too many guns and too much control.
