texas congressman calls for removing trans people from the street

https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/texas-congressman-says-trans-people-need-to-be-taken-off-the-streets-after-charlie-kirk-shooting

“We have to do something about this,” Jackson said after railing against doctors who aid with “gender transition. “We have to treat these people. We have to get them off the streets and we have to get them off the internet. We can’t let them communicate with each other. I’m all about free speech, but this is a virus, this is a cancer that’s spreading across this country that’s going to do great damage to normal, hard working, law abiding people.”

fuck him. he should be removed from the streets

Drugs seem to be a common theme in strong man regime. Syria's deposed Assad regime was largely supported by drug trafficking.

openly say evil shit like this. And he's a fucking congressman. Round up the immigrants, round up the trans people, and while you're at it, grab the LGBs too. Then socialists, then Democrats. I guess that's the correct order. We're fixing to find out.

I stopped at Democrats because that's us, and once we're gone we won't be able to worry about anyone else. But we're all in danger as long as this regime is in power.

But just research the financial consequences and if you’re going to another country, make sure you understand the latest immigration policies. No country is very welcoming right now to foreigners.

if I should book us a go look at Hawaii to get off the mainland trip after the election turned out the way it did. My husband said he wasn't moving. So, we didn't go.

We had literally bought a place in Panama after Shrub was elected a second time. Had been approved for permanent resident visas, stamped in our passports Then our house here burned down in 2007, and Obama was elected. We sold the Panama place. In 2015, when Trump was running, we made an offer on a place on Bonaire, but my husband backed out. I really regret that.

My husband --from whom I was separated --died in 2018. I had thought of going to look at France or Portugal, but didn't want to leave my elderly dog for several months, so kept putting off that trip. Then COVID. Gave up the idea of ever moving abroad and bought a small house under construction. Moved in Jan 6th, 2021.
I'm 74 now and I've decided I'm staying. I've suggested to both my sons they should get out ( they both have partners who won't leave), but I'd go with them if they went. But I don't have the energy to go alone.

I don't think it's crazy to consider getting off the mainland, but Hawaii is very expensive.
