Brendan Carr suggests its worthwhile for FCC to probe The Viewhttps://thehill.com/homenews/media/5511391-brendan-carr-fcc-controversy/
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chair Brendan Carr on Thursday said it may be worthwhile to consider investigating ABCs The View amid controversy about late night host Jimmy Kimmels firing.
I would assume you could make the argument that The View is a bona fide news show, but Im not so sure about that, Carr said during an interview on conservative commentator Scott Jenningss podcast.
And I think its worthwhile to have the FCC look into whether The View and some of the programs that you have still qualify as bona fide news programs and therefore exempt from the equal opportunity regime that Congress has put in place, he added.
Carr on Wednesday criticized remarks Kimmel made on his show Monday about the suspect arrested for the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. He also said licensed broadcasters should stand up against Kimmel, a remark that many observers saw as suggesting government action could take place.

(54,618 posts)3. I read many comments saying The View is afraid
of being canceled. I do not watch the show but YouTube followers noticed this and made comments on it as Kimmel's show has been targeted by tRump.
When they do not discuss something as important as Kimmel getting suspended you know they are afraid for their own careers.
