then they act surprised if they behave like criminals, complaining that such resistance is only happening because of liberal rhetoric.

We know the people resisting are desperate because there is no due process, and the consequences are dire.
The administration of course knows these aren't criminals and is trying to prepare public opinion to accept martial law.

Maybe they really don't realize the irony of their concern about law enforcment officers given Jan. 6, or their drama over Charlie Kirk while ignoring Melissa Hortman. They are that narcissistic. Or maybe there are cool and calculating men (and women) plotting the coup and preparing the lies necessary.
