Dear American Farmers: Trump Rode You Hard and Put You Away Wet

Leaked texts on Scott Bessent’s phone suggest the White House got played bailing out Argentina—and U.S. soybean farmers are the casualties

https://fortune.com/2025/09/30/what-happened-soybean-farmers-argentina-china-scott-bessent-phone-texts/

According to a photo of a private text on the phone of Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Argentina responded to the treasury secretary’s $20 billion bailout by turning around and removing its export taxes on soybeans and striking a huge new deal with China. That diminished the price of U.S. soybeans and weakened U.S. trade leverage with China, which immediately pulled out of its existing arrangements with soybean farmers in America’s heartland.

That’s right. Trump gave $20 BILLION of your tax dollars to Argentina, which allowed them to reduce their own taxes while making a deal with China that left the American farmers begging for socialist handouts. You fucking suckers and losers keep voting against yourselves.

It's FOX, get that?
It's propaganda all day, every day, day in and day out: fawning trump coverage that hides his shittyness and incompetence.
Democrats are all communists that want to sex-change your children in school. They want illegals to have your stuff!
If you watched it like they do you would believe all that messed up stuff, and it would seem perfectly natural and logical.

Go watch it for a week. you'll never ask this question again.
And NO, you can't just say "i don't watch that" and turn away, That's a cop-out.
Ignoring the fire in your house won't make it go away. We Ignore it at our peril.

A desire to be sen as someone important. (They are, but they can't believe it thanks to propaganda.)

A need for being heard. (They could be heard, but again they have been told that they are not.)

The problem with rural areas is that they don't get information like the rest of the world does. And, then, it is filtered through several spots until it gets there. With the advent of the internet, this should have been something that was solved, but they were already programmed to only believe what the old rethug-controlled stations had taught them.

My father was a farmer. He was intelligent, a former scientist in a pesticide company, and was more liberal than conservative. He was an unabashed Democrat in a sea of Jesse Helms clones. Those farmers are the ones you don't hear about. They don't fit either narrative, so they don't get any attention and are considered a myth in some circles. They also shun attention anyway.

So, the blanket stuff about farmers is cute, but not real. There are plenty of them who are not on board with that orange gibbon, nor were they on board with that California actor either. But, they don't go out and raise hell about it, mainly because they have a farm to run. They also know that there is a significant bias towards anyone that identifies as a 'farmer', because some people want to blame them for everything. This is sad, because it assures that the farmers we need to be heard won't risk it.

De-programming rural America (And it is not just farmers, btw) is not going to be easy as long as the programming is allowed to continue.

Unfortunately, the programming will continue because the societal model we are in demands it.

So...

they always buy them off and they continue to vote for them as a result. "Subsidies" are just handouts in effect. SO sick of those dumbasses. Whether they get it from tariffs or not, they WILL be bought off.....orange shitter and ag sec. already said so

take the subsidy, and vote for his 3rd term. We need to gather enough people together, to stop the Reich wing from using our hard-earned money to enrich themselves. Enough is enough! I don't want my tax dollars spent elevating crooks who in the end, will discard me at will.

... because Fox News won't mention it on any of their programs. This is how they control their listeners: they constantly make up crap about Democrats and omit any good things that they accomplish. At the same time, they don't talk about the horrible things that their orange leader and his republican henchman do that directly affects them. If that's all they listen to, they will never learn the truth about anything. And they won't listen to anything else because they've been taught from the beginning to hate Democrats and liberals. It seems like some of them are waking up, but not enough.

specifically for fraud, waste, abuse and bribes to help them obtain total power. So......the republicans will borrow trillions from China, Japan and other countries and the farmers will get their huge welfare checks from the taxpayers. Problems solved.... the republican way!
