Absolutely!

There is a kid in Canada, a big "Hurricane: fan. He wants me to train him, something not possible by way of internet. He does send me videos of himself hitting the heavy bag.

I've told him numerous times the importance of "hands up" ..... what Cus D'Amato called "holding the phones" with your thumbs near your cheeks, and the chin tucked into your shoulder when at arm's length from the heavy bag, and bringing them back fast after throwing a punch. But he wants to impress me with power, and thus doesn't bring his hands up.

I tell him it is never good to reinforce a bad habit in the ring ..... as Rubin told a fighter in the last gym he visited, "You bring your right hand back like that, and the last thing you'd hear is my let hook sizzling towards your jaw." And punching power is meanningless unless you have a proper delivery system. I tell him to learn form first, then increase speed. That results in power.

Same thing applies today. People need to be aware of their surroundings, and who is likely to be stirring shit on the internet. And, when opportunity arises, throw a nice left hook to their liver, so to speak! (grin) You do not have to try to throw it hard ..... good form and fast ..... because every time you catch your opponent coming into your power, it always results in their being hurt. It's the same in politics as in that squared circle.
