I Don't Trust Anyone Who Says 'Democrat Party'!

We Don't Call Them 'Repiglicans'
We Don't Call Them 'Rethuglicans'
We Don't Even Call Then 'Republicants'
(well most of us don't, I do)
Yet these guys go on TV and it's the same old
Joe McCarthy / Roy Cohn slur;
'Democrat', 'Democrat', 'Democrat Party'!
And they want our trust?

Interview and he must've mentioned that term at least six times like it was nothing.
What we say to each other is one thing, but going on National news day after day,
year after year, using 'Radical Left Democrat Party' it just infuriates me!

It bothers me they aren't corrected.
It bothers me they don't cut them off.
It bothers me they don't end the interview.
It bothers me they are disgracing Thomas Jefferson's Party.
It bothers me if it were the other way round we'd never hear the end of it!

turned into one by those taking offence without cause. If people now use "Democrat" Party derisively, it is likely because they know you are touchy about it and they are capitalizing upon the ease of offending you. It is more logical to call it "Democrat" party as the "Republican" Party is so called and far less intuitive to lengthen it to "Democratic".

There are better battles to be fought, with much higher stakes than this.

No big push back from Democrats and the media won't lift a finger to keep the record straight.
It's part of the language now. Probably take a lot to set it right.

Fascists always try to redefine language to prevent you from expressing dissent, and to force you to frame your speech in their terms.

Removing the words "democracy" and "democratic" from our vocabulary is not accidental, but the MAGA-Speak does also make them very very easy to spot.
