The video is an MSNBC interview with a Portland police chief for 4 minutes; then 6 minutes of MSNBC commentators (about Chicago and Portland) , then some guy (of 'Liberal Mania', I presume), with a measured take on this. There's nothing in the video about "refusing to follow Trump's orders" or saying "we are out".

A judge has suspended the deployment of the National Guard (see malaise's post below); maybe someone is trying to spin the National Guard following that ruling as "refusing to follow Trump's orders" or saying "we are out".

10. Apparently a Federal Judge has temporarily blocked Trump's intention to deploy the Guard

It looks like the Governor and Att'y General are on top of the situation and plan to keep asking for the Judge to renew the temporary block as long as Trump wants to continue wrongly pushing to invade the city with federalized troops. But I didn't see anything suggesting the Guard was, itself, rejecting Trump's orders.

Trump's flaks indicated that they would take their case to a higher court, by which I think they mean Kangaroo SCOTUS. Roberts already has his guys (Alito, Thomas, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch) in an anticipatory circle -- Sister Amy is in her chambers saying her tainted rosary, but cannot participate in the circle, of course, for obvious reasons.

Damn every one of them.

Meanwhile, I watched the video as it panned the gang of uniformed, masked thugs and could not help but wonder what motivated these turds to betray America. Money? Pleasure at playing "soldier" by threatening and attacking Americans? Have they no sense of shame or patriotism? (That last question was, of course, rhetorical.)

Failure to obey a lawful order is a serious offense under the UCMJ. The bar for proving that an order is unlawful is very high, with good reason. I haven't seen or heard anything else about that.

23. The Portland Marathon is today.

When I saw this discussion, it was about 4:45 a.m., and my grandson was waiting to be picked up to head into Portland. My grandson's girlfriend is a cheerleader at his high school, and they have a fundraiser working at the Marathon, so he is accompanying her to help out. I believe the route runs near the ICE facility at some point. I jokingly said to him not to get arrested by ICE. His comment back was that he had nothing to worry about because he is "white". I told him that does not make any difference now with ICE. I watched the local news where the young white woman was getting pepper-sprayed in the face the other day. Members of my family go into Portland all the time. My grandson plays soccer games at schools in Portland lots of time. It is safe and peaceful overall and is a beautiful city. It angers me to see Trump and his minions so blatantly lie about what is happening here. Maybe Trump will exploit the marathon and say that there are hundreds and hundreds of people descending upon the city today.
