(4,599 posts)Neural plasticity. My experience with it have been enlightening and productive. Whatever deficits you have and I hope they are few but work those areas with intensity. My ongoing experiences are very inspiring.
PS Very good luck to you.

My stroke is called the Bonnet Syndrome.
Intensity is the magic word.

(7,444 posts)It's just what I needed today. Admit I cried through some of it... good memories, tho... and sang my heart out to the song I always called my anthem growing up... "I Am I Said." Being female in the midwest wasn't easy back in those days. Today, these were touchstones I really needed!

I'm glad you're on the mend and will be home soon.
(My rehab had great food, a tired restaurant chef during the week and a Mexican grandma on weekends. I wanted to extend my stay for the food, alone, but they wouldn't let me)

As my friends have attested, getting 'sprung' from rehab is enlightening and definitely leaves one seeking good food!
Congrats!
