I agree that the story about dissappeared Syrians is important, but shades of the anti Iraqi war marches in Feb 2003

2. How disappointing

There were huge rallies throughout the country and in fact the whole world but The Times put the story below the fold and devoted more space to an article on Syria. In fact, the largest rally in the country was the one right in front ot its building in Times Square.

Who is the paper written for?

They gave more coverage to an article on food in Sicily and an article slamming Democratic ads.

I look at it in another way. Could the NYT be giving a warning to the opposition of shithole and the rwers?

I truly believe the GQP are in that path of total dictatorship, wherein in majority if not all cases of the a dictator is to eliminate their opposition.
