Now we learn that Hegseth and CJCS Caine will fly in a Naval air show. Caine -- a rated aviator -- will pilot his own F-16 while Hegseth will ride along in the back seat of an F/A-18.
If Hegseth is so hell-bent on everyone being a "warrior" and if he is so proud of doing 50 pushups every morning, why doesn't he complete the US Army Top Ranger competition?
Top Ranger is actually the Lt. Gen. David E. Grange Jr. Best Ranger Competition, a three-day, high-intensity competition that determines the best two-man, Ranger-qualified team in the U.S. Armed Forces. It tests participants on physical and mental endurance, as well as their technical and tactical soldiering skills through a series of back-to-back events, often with minimal rest.

Just sayin'.

I wouldn't want Whiskey Pete to be too stressed out.

I did so many pushup in four years of active duty (upper body strength is essential for being a tanker) that I was eventually nicknamed "Chesty", by my fellow tankers.
I'm fifty seven now, and haven't done a pushup in years. I still lift weights, but pushups: never again if I can help it.
