So, just wondering if we would ever get confirmation of the terrible political machinations that they were responsible for. Maybe we will in time, once the Catholic church severs ties with them. But the one thing I was wondering, (that I admit I have no evidence at all to even base this question) is, were they instrumental in pushing the Vatican's policy of hiding their pedophile problem?

(4,747 posts). . . who filed an amicus curie brief arguing that the Plaintiff's claims in a sexual abuse case against a diocese should have been barred by the time-for-filing limitation of the statute which was in effect at the time the abuse occurred. I think the court ruled the claimant was permitted to continue with his case. Sadly, the claimant ended his life not long thereafter. He had substance abuse problems which he attributed to the abuse he had suffered.
