I have lived more than half of those years and I cannot recall even one person ever saying anything about a "ballroom" at the White House?
So now, everyone stands idly by as he demolishes the entire east Room of the White House. It's sad and it's maddening.
Because we know he could not do these things on his own. Sometimes he gets approval from the courts. If he doesn't, he goes ahead and does it anyway. Then he takes it to court. It's an insane circle of lies and crimes.
Unfortunately, he can do no wrong in the eyes of most Republicans. No matter what he does, they will not criticize him for it. They are as silent as a church mouse when it comes to criticism of Donald Trump.
He can send in the military to harass and kidnap American citizens, wrestle them to the ground, and drag them to waiting vans, to carry them away. No problem.
He can bomb boats off the coasts of other nations and he gets away with it. He is suing the DOJ for $230 million dollars because he needs to re-write history for his legacy. He was a victim on January 6th, as were all those criminals he pardoned. The Russian investigation and the search warrant of his home in Mar-a-Lago were all illegal, he says. And he should be re-imbursed by himself, through his puppets at the DOJ.
In his view, he can never receive the credit he deserves and craves until history has been re-written. IF he can get a settlement of $230 million dollars, that will pretty much be all the evidence that he will need to prove that he was innocent and he was the victim all along.
America has gone totally insane.

Just another one of you pure bullshit claims: "many people tell me". Only your hand picked sycophants may tell you to gain favors. Here in reality, we want you to drop fucking dead asap.

(15,047 posts)If a larger ballroom was needed to host massive diplomatic or celebrity events, there was also room to expand it as early as, say, the Kennedy or Reagan Era when there was a greater public interest in glamor and celebrity in the White House.
No need for a throne room/banquet hall that could fit the full UN General Assembly.

(71,587 posts)I'm so exhausted. The Trump Era is the most draining, fatiguing, corrosive period I've ever lived through. The shit-covered, anti-Clinton howler monkeys were as nothing to this time of chaotic, yet somehow systematic dismantling of everything good and decent about this country.
I'm losing the will to live...

FDR replied "If I fail, I will be the last president." All the chaos going on, 99.9% created by him, shows me he believes he will be president forever.
