Michael Wolff Launches Bombshell Lawsuit Against Melania Trump Over Epstein

The best-selling author Michael Wolff is suing Melania Trump in an unprecedented court case—after she threatened to sue him for $1 billion.

The author, who is co-host of The Daily Beast’s hit podcast, Inside Trump’s Head, is accusing the First Lady of launching an assault on his free speech and trying to stifle “legitimate inquiry” into Jeffrey Epstein.

The case is the first time Melania Trump has been sued as First Lady and appears to be the first time a president’s wife has been the subject of court action. Wolff is asking the court for permission to question Melania and Donald Trump under oath about their dealings with Epstein.

Wolff filed the 15-page civil defamation suit in New York Supreme Court under the state’s anti-SLAPP law, short for strategic lawsuits against public participation, which is designed to block lawsuits intended to chill speech. He says the libel threat letter is part of a pattern of abusive litigation deployed by the Trumps, “designed to create a climate of fear in the nation so that people cannot freely or confidently exercise their First Amendment rights.”

“Mrs. Trump and her ‘unitary executive’ husband along with their MAGA myrmidons have made a practice of threatening those who speak against them with costly SLAPP actions in order to silence their speech, to intimidate their critics generally, and to extract unjustified payments and North Korean style confessions and apologies,” Wolff wrote.

I would normally dismiss this as pure rumor, but with all that we FACTUALLY know at this point, it certainly seems possible, if not probable.

I've read a few of his books and found them mostly enjoyable reading.

One thing I know is that Michael Wolff has interview recordings to back up whatever goes into his books. He really does interview people, and gets them to reveal stuff. So I guess that makes him a pretty good reporter. I don't know whether he follows the rule of the newspaper business, namely that he must find a 2nd source to backup the first one. (That remains to be seen.)

This lawsuit is going to be awesome! I don't know how Melania is going refute him, but I'm sure Michael has proof from somewhere, somehow.

Whatever you think of Wolff, he knows the questions to ask in discovery. This will be another chink in the wall around the Epstein files. And Cankles's behavior is screaming that the Epstein files will bring him down.
