Why Gerrymandering might not be enough for Republicans to win the mid-terms: (Original Post) applegrove Oct 23 OP
Hoping. But trump's got tricks, like a "tariff dividend bribe," more immigrant bashing, etc.to attract red voters. Silent Type Oct 23 #1
Dems currently have a 9 point lead in the latest generic ballot poll Fiendish Thingy Oct 23 #2
That's encouraging. If we can't get a 4% lead with this immoral regime, I'd almost give up. We can. Silent Type Oct 23 #3

Analyses I have read suggest that, in order to overcome gerrymandering, Dems would need at least a 3-4 point lead to retake the house.

They have 9, and imagine how that lead will grow in a year from now, when the economy is in recession, with double digit inflation and increasing unemployment, and, if the Dems don’t cave to a cynical republican “deal”, millions with doubled or tripled healthcare premiums.

MTG understands the risks.
