Brodie, Betty Wold Johnson Foundation, Charles and Marissa Cascarilla, Edward and Shari Glazer, Harold Hamm, Benjamin Leon Jr., The Lutnick Family, The Laura & Isaac Perlmutter Foundation, Stephen A. but I suspect that most of the entities on this list contributed specifically to the construction of the ballroom. When they made their commitment, they likely had no idea that the East Wing would be demolished.

In fact, before the demolition began, tRump was saying publicly that he wouldn't touch the East Wing. He said it would be close to the White House, but not touching it.

While contributing to the ballroom was stupid, I really doubt that the great majority of those on that list knew in advance that destroying the East Wing was an integral part of the construction. So, they may have had questionable motives, but not necessarily destructive ones.

At least that's the way it looks to me.
