About the new drug interdiction effort

Where there is a demand, there will always be a supply. The cocaine, fentanyl, and other drugs feed the American habit. Instead of ramping up violent rhetoric directed at countries to enforce drug interdiction efforts, the administration needs to continue programs addressing dependency instead of eliminating them.

Let’s say that this administration is successful at stopping the majority of the drug trade. What will be the response from millions of Americans that will be deprived of their crutch to get through daily life? I can only imagine the repercussions including an even more violent society as withdrawal sets in throughout our social strata. Drug intervention programs are necessary in today’s world. Perhaps this administration can’t think that far ahead or they just don’t care.

1. From the kitchens to the boardrooms to the bars, this country runs on caffeine and yes, cocaine.

What he is doing is more like price support/eliminating competition, no doubt he has a piece of the coke action, at least his kids do.

4. Expanding effective treatment, addressing conditions that promote use, prevention, intervention. Sooo BORING.

All that shit that works is a grind. And needs a serious influx of money with absolutely no excitement as a payoff.

Much more fun to pour millions and millions into an effort that has such an exciting payoff. Explosions! Death! Destruction!

Now that's the ticket!!

What is truly so tragic is that, while I'm being sarcastic, I actually think this is how the people currently in charge actually see thngs.
