Confused: 130 million for military pay?

That's about $10 each with 1.3 million in the military. I guess they can each buy a couple of candy bars for Halloween.

And we're not sure, but funds appear to be being shuffled around within the DOD/W - the big concern being certain dedicated allocations are being illegally moved to support pet payments and keep the appearances of strong, happy stormtroopers ready to jump into action.

...was $192 billion.
So, the $130 million seems ridiculous.
But, I haven't seen the $130 billion figure.
Besides, where would they get 2/3rds of a year of salary out over thin air?
The cash flow isn't there, so if the $130 billion is true, it's an empty promise that can't be kept.

4. $130 million couldn't cover one month's pay for all active Military.

Not to mention the following uniformed groups doing that also get paid to some degree during the month - National Guards and reservists on drill or deployment, Recruits and Trainees, those on Disability, Family, or Retirement leave....
$130 million probably covers one major base or an aircraft carrier.

But I'm pretty sure what is being talked about here is the alleged donation of $130 million by a nepo billionaire, which is getting publicity as if it makes a difference.

Not some realistic plan to fund the military.

11. Wouldn't Even Cover A Day

It was $526 million/day in 2024.
$130 million would only last about 6 hours.
That number can't be right, unless it was just them trying to buy some cheap PR, figuring the masses will think that's so great & generous.

Those who think the claim is that it really would cover the entirety of the monthly pay have problems with interpreting textual readings in context to produce a reasoned and reasonable understanding. That number is well over $7B twice a month (and that's for f/y2024, it's probably over $8B twice a month now).

14. Well, there are about 1.32 million active duty personnel in the military

right now. So, that means each might receive about $98.48 as a one-time payment from that $130 Million. Not much relief, I'm thinking.

ETA: I just realized that $98 was my monthly pay as a USAF E-1 in 1965. So, that would have been one month's pay back then. Our active-duty troops get paid a lot better now, so no...
