Brand New CNN Poll: Trump 37% Approval to 63% Disapproval

In a midterm election year, though, views of the president can outweigh perceptions of the opposition party. Trump’s approval rating in the poll stands at 37%, the worst of his second term in CNN polling and roughly equivalent to his 36% approval rating at this point in his first term.

And his disapproval rating, at 63%, is numerically the highest of either term, one point above the previous high of 62% as he was leaving office in January 2021.

And the economy hasn’t even lurched into recession yet. These polls also badly misinterpret what low Democratic Party approval means. Much of that low approval reflects Democratic voter unhappiness with the party for not doing enough to oppose Trump, not that these voters are on the fence about who to support.

All Republicans have to do is rig the state legislatures to carve out districts whenever they want, however they want and they can keep their house seats.

The senate map looks terrible for democrats as it is and the odds of republicans losing it are fairly slim, so I doubt they are as worried there.

Adding to the Republican margin in one District requires subtracting from the margin in another. In a strong wave election, that will actually backfire and cause Democrats to win significantly MORE seats.

The CNN poll was conducted by SSRS online and by phone from October 27 to 30 among a random national sample of 1,245 adults, including 954 registered voters. Results for the full sample have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points; it is plus or minus 3.6 points for results among registered voters.

you have to remember that 2018 and 2020 did happen. I e always said Trump is a better candidate when he’s the challenger and can simply BS and not run on anything. When he had to run on his record in office 18 and 20 were good years for the Dems

For the voters who believed Trump's bullshit and voted for him I say "We told you so!" But they had to learn the hard way. Or, suffer and never learn and suffer more.

If we survive this guy, there will be those "sadder but wiser" voters who will join us, eventually. Big "if".

So they can be seen and read by EVERYBODY?

I keep hoping somebody somewhere somehow takes some photos of those pages so the public can see and read the truth.

I’ve just gotta ask. Put that idea out there so MAYBE somebody, somewhere, decides to be a good guy for America instead of a good toady for trump.

We need to see state polls. And maybe even polls in certain districts that Trump carried vs those same districts that Biden and Harris carried.

We see these polls but then we also see that the NJ governor's race is close. How do you reconcile that?

There's been 5 major polls of the NJ Governor's race released in the past week. All have shown Sherrill in the lead by a margin of +4, +8, +10, +7 & +1. So the average has been +6.

A year from now the economy will be in recession, with high inflation and unemployment, and healthcare premiums that have skyrocketed.

Gerrymandering and ICE intimidation won’t be able to stop the Blue Tsunami.
