President Donald Trumps angry response to corruption questions at the end of his 60 Minutes interview was cut from the shows TV and online edits.
CBS aired a 28-minute version of the Trump interview on television, and then released a 73-minute extended cut online, which was also shared by the White Houses RapidResponse 47 X account. Neither contained Trump losing his cool over questions about the billionaire he pardoned after a $2 billion crypto deal was struck with the Trump family.
The MAGA social media account claimed it was the FULL Trump interview that came without the networks edits and cuts. An editors note on 60 Minutes YouTube upload of the extended interview said it was condensed for clarity.
However, the full tense exchange over crypto corruption with interviewer Norah ODonnell, which can be seen in the transcript on the 60 Minutes Overtime site, did not appear in either the TV or the extended online video version.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Well, first of all, we get along great, and we always really have. We had the COVID moment, which was not-- attractive as far as I was concerned. I wasn't so happy. But outside of that, we have always had a great relationship. He's a powerful man. He's a strong man, a very powerful leader. And-- we've always-- had the best of relationships, probably the best of-- I could-- I think I could speak for him, just about as good as it gets from his standpoint and from my standpoint. And having that is important because of the power of the two countries.
NORAH O'DONNELL: What did you get out of this deal that you wanted?
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Well, I got sort of everything that we wanted. We got-- no rare earth threat. That's gone, completely gone. We have tremendous amounts of-- dollars pouring in-- 'cause we have-- very big tariffs, almost 50%. We never had anything in terms of tariffs, although I put tariffs on China, but Biden let it lapsed by the-- by the fact that he gave exemptions on almost everything, which was just ridiculous.
But-- we have-- billions and billions of dollars coming in, and we have a very good relationship. I mean, we have-- a great relationship with a powerful country. And I've always felt if we can make deals that are good, it's better to get along with China than not, if you can't make the right kind of a deal than not, because, you know, China, along with many other countries (they're not alone in this), they've ripped us off from day one.
They've ripped us so much. They've taken trillions of dollars out of our country. And now they're-- it's the opposite. I mean, we're doing very well with China, and hopefully they're gonna do very well with us. But I do think it's important that China and the U.S. get along, and we get along very well at the top.

You know, they call up the police and they said, "Did you call the police?" "Yes, I did. You took my apartment, you live in my building, you took my apartment." They cut his hand off.
NORAH O'DONNELL: I--

(17,134 posts)ought to sue the ever-loving piss out of CBS.
That's how CBS News works now, right? Just file suit, and they'll fill your campaign coffers, or you own pockets, with settlement money and change the way they cover you, right????
Maybe they'll donate to the new ballroom at DNC Headquarters?
If the DNC and other Dems don't file a civil lawsuit against CBS and 60 Minutes, it will be a travesty.
CBS has demonstrated that they will fold to bullies like a cheap suit.
GOOSE/GANDER and all that.
