Today is the anniversary of the 2018 Camp Fire...

Paradise, California + the surrounding areas in Butte County….

Sending ♥️💛🩵 to all the survivors… their families… + all the first responders, firefighters, medical personnel + animal wranglers + neighbors + strangers who helped us make it through that horror…

Respect to Jamie Lee Curtis’s production company for believing this story was worth retelling: The Lost Bus

The film is available via Apple TV…

The book: Lizzie Johnson’s Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire — is a worthy read.

For those who did not survive… you are not forgotten… we remain 💔💔💔

🔥There are times I think Mother Nature is telling us she’s going to sweep the entire coast clear and let the animals return.
💔Central Coast here💔

A thoughtful + valuable video that shares thoughts on disaster prep, community building + those “I wouldn’t have thought of that” ideas from those making the comeback from the Camp fire disaster… Worth the time for all sorts of disasters…

I got to meet Ron Howard while he was shooting his documentary.

The people there are amazing, I was there for my best friend and his family.

I went back w/ my daughter a few months ago to view the trees we had had planted at Bille Park, replacing the ones we had planted for parents, kids + grandkids that were lost in the fire…The creek still runs through the property + someone had put a new post up w/ the street sign that had survived that had been hand carved by our neighbor… The many losses still hurt… but the trees are healing… The stones my dad “tuned” in the creek for my mom still tinkle melodiously… We dropped some keys in town for the Paradise Phoenix sculpture…
