It makes other people’s pain look like a game.

But as it is? Now it’s just a cluster. What was the shutdown for? Apparently, nothing. No way to spin this as a win. And so, will Federal employees be “grateful” the Democrats had their pay suspended for six weeks and got literally nothing out it? Will food stamp recipients be grateful? Will airlines customers? People who don't have healthcare will go back to using ER's for regular healthcare. It will take away from the emergency care system. The hospitals and communities will absorb the cost. Hospitals will fail.

Healthcare premiums will go up for all of us - those who can actually afford healthcare (at all) that is. The drain on the system will have collateral damage.

There was a reason the ACA was implemented.

Right now healthcare is mandatory, just as car insurance is mandatory. I guess those who go back to being without health care because it is not affordable will technically be breaking the law.
