Pet murdered to send political message.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/01/23/arkansas-dems-pet-murdered-with-liberal-scrawled-on-corpse/

An Arkansas Democrat has a message for whomever killed his kids’ cat: “I’ve got a gun and I know how to use it.”

According to the Blue Arkansas blog, the campaign manager to Ken Aden, who’s running for the state’s third congressional district, came home last night to discover the family pet had been murdered and left on their front porch, as if the attacker wanted it to be discovered.

The feline’s skull was bashed in, and an ominous message was carved into its side: “LIBERAL.”

To kill somebody's kitty?! What the hell is that supposed to prove, other than that end of the political spectrum is mean and evil?

Assassinations (Tiller, Gwatney) and attempted assassinations (Giffords, the several people who've tried to take a shot at Obama). The attacks on places like the Unitarian church, arson attacks on mosques and synagogues. The right-wing media was working for a long time to whip this up into a frenzy. They quieted down a little after Giffords was shot, and it looked like they might actually get called out on the carpet for their shit, but now it's brewing again.

I remember during the 2008 election, my Democratic town chair related to me the reason her cousin refused to put up an Obama sign: in his words "I don't want to get a burning cross on my lawn."

This makes me sick to my stomach. That was a young cat, probably just reaching adulthood. This is sickening.

Edited to add, my cat that looks just like that poor dead kitty's name is Maluhia (which means Peace in Hawaiian)

that cat is for the people who owned the cat. They would have done it to the 'liberal' if they could get away with it. The hate radio audiences have been conditioned the last few years into accepting violence as a solution.

Conditioning segments of the public to accept violence as a solution to rid their lands of 'others' not like them...that's how genocide has always started .

8. Is it wrong to fear that we may become like other countries and see candidates family members

being kidnapped or killed to send political messages or forced a candidate to drop out?

I'm not trying to be extreme but ask yourself how many degrees of seperation is it between murdering a family pet and going after a family member?

there just aren't words bad enough to describe it. I would tend to wonder if the person also wet the bed, and started a lot of fires.

the financial industry crooks who set up our economy for collapse.

It works, and the angry crazed man can't get close enough to the elite to strike out so he cowardly sides with them in their attacks on the most vulnerable.
