He wants ICE and NG to stay the hell out of NYC. He wants federal support for the nearly 9 million people of the city if needed. . Get your pic taken. Say a few nice things that don't sell out your soul. Don't kiss the ring. It is not a big price to pay.

Will Mamdani get what he went for? Unlikely. I suspect he knows that. He's a smart man. Like the Democratic mayors and governors before him, Trump will step on him for the slightest made up reason. But no one can say he didn't try.

to people to their face and then screw them over the next day. I wouldn't take much out of this meeting other than Trump was in awe of Mamdani since he's always in awe of people who are good looking and have charisma which Mamdani has both. Plus Trump needs some good publicity to distract people from all of his scandals and this serves as a good distraction for him.
