I was thinking Russia has been fucking about in a cost-effective way.

If they aren't able to shoot them down, then I don't know. I don't know the technicalities of the difficulties of shooting down drones though.

New Jersey (and NY) were having that weird rash of drone sightings last year. My friend in upstate NY had a large drone hovering over her house. We have unanswered questions with all that.
