Where is the Senate GOP healthcare plan?

Today was supposed to be the day it was going to be released by Sen. Majority Leader Thune? Also he was supposed to allow a vote on the Democratic Party plan. Silence on both parts from Thune. Why is no one in the news saying a peep about the lack of a plan from Thune? Even AP news which tends to be among the most balanced is not pursuing this story.

...the current plan is exactly what they had proposed before. That being the ACA, also known as Obamacare. They know they need to reinstate the subsidies, but painted themselves into a corner.

They could go with Nixon's or Reagan's plan. Couple of problems, one they have already long since denounced those plans as communist. Second they need to be reworked for today, and that is not going to get done in a couple of weeks. Nor has there been any other ideas other than going back to the way things were. Which some of them want, but they know that will be political suicide.

The whole "we want to offer people a choice on plans" is bullshit. Some states can only support one health insurance company with the population they have. Unless they allow cross state or regional buy in. But that takes regulation away from the state and federalizes it, something else they don't want.

They fucked themselves. Too bad everyone else is going to feel it.

cross state buy in of insurance, that way only the worst plans in the state with the fewest plans, and lowest coverage would be available.

Republicans are not likely to offer a single alternative, because they are so divided.

Schumer’s three year extension of ACA subsidies will get a vote this week, but it is not expected to pass.
