https://news.yahoo.com/news/articles/gop-strategist-reveals-why-trump-204308665.html"Washington, D.C., in the 2026 midterm elections.
In an op-ed published in the Wall Street Journal on Friday titled Alarm Bells Ring, Are You Listening? Rove said Trumps attitude toward the cost-of-living crisis and his sinking voter approval ratings on the economy should be a warning sign for the GOP.
Mr. Trump despises Joe Biden, yet hes making the same mistake his predecessor made, Rove wrote. Telling voters not to believe their own lying checkbooks was politically insane. Mr. Trump is doing the same thing.
Trumps approval rating on the economy has fallen drastically in recent weeks. A poll from AP-NORC released last week found just 31 percent of voters approve of Trumps handling of the economy."

(60,972 posts)2. Remember who Rove is and note that he imbeds a lie
as fact. Biden never told people to not believe their own perception of how the economy affected them.
In fact, while he struggled hard with no real majority in the Senate to pass things that would help, he was well aware that some were still hurting. His own family history included being in an area not doing well when the country's economy was doing better than before. ( He was born in December 1941 and he spoke of when he was a young boy. After WWII (1945), was a time where the US was thriving as most of Europe was trying to recover from WWII and China was in civil war and Japan was occupied.)

What part of 'best economic recovery in the world post pandemic' escapes these lying fools.
