'Alarm bells': New poll is bad for Trump

A new AtlasIntel poll shows 54.4% of likely voters would choose the Democratic ticket and 38.4% would back the Republican ticket if midterms were held today, a 16-point advantage for Democrats.

The poll also finds President Donald Trump’s net approval at minus 20 points, with 39.3% approving and 59.6% disapproving.

However, the Trump administration argues that current polling ignores a shifting economic trajectory. Trump recently touted a 4.3% annualized GDP growth rate in the third quarter of 2025. November’s report showed price increases at 2.7%, the lowest in months.

Democrats Hold Lead

“In the new year, the Trump administration will continue to focus on ending Joe Biden’s affordability crisis and restoring the working-class prosperity that Americans enjoyed during President Trump’s first term,” White House spokesman Kush Desai said.
