As 2025 thankfully comes to a close, I am pondering...

What has not been enshittified? What will soon be enshittified?

MAGA, T#&+p, our health (Kennedy and Oz), our laws (the Supremes), truth (AI, social networking), media ($$$$$$), our climate, sports (legalized betting), politics (endless wars), guns - and on and on.

We here, our circle of friends and family (maybe) are the remaining bastions of sanity and decency.

We are indeed in the enshittification age.

backlash, creating a resistance that will be their undoing.

And those signs are all over. It isn't just DU, or DU and Bluesky.

I find lots of stories of musicians speaking out against Trump on Reddit because their largest music forum or subreddit, which has 38 million members, is overwhelmingly anti-Trump. They really hate him. They really hate AI, too. Smart people.

X is many times larger than liberal Bluesky, but there are still a lot of liberals left on X, which is why so many Democratic politicians are still there. Liberals who are not going to give up on that platform and their friends and followers. X is where you see the debate over AI most clearly. Even when liberals have accounts on both X and Bluesky, they often post much more on X.

The average age of people on those other platforms is younger than DU's, too, and that's an important reminder that liberals aren't mostly Baby Boomers.
