Brooks' observations about political responsibility for social state of US receives beautiful and brutal

pushback.

David Brooks is up and down....sometimes a WH critic, sometimes a conservative supporter. This time he writes in the NYT bemoaning what liberals have done to love, attachment, marriage. What is most notable are the comments. As usual, very pointed and well-written and none let him slide. Read the flawed article, but more importantly read the comments for a more realistic view. And slapdown.

Brooks' article was notable for it's weak defense of conservative memes.

actually blaming liberals for something conservatives obviously did. He's an epic gaslighter against liberals, either because he's clueless or because he's diabolical. I don't know which, but the end result of both is the same.

VERY insightful

I cannot sympathize much with assholes who bemoan "everything has changed" when they are part of the culture that made it all go to hell.

...is nothing compared to what The Ever-Fatuous David Brooks(tm) has done to them.

I quote from Wikipedia:

Brooks met his first wife Jane Hughes while both attended the University of Chicago. She converted to Judaism and changed her given name to Sarah. They divorced in November 2013.

(...)

Brooks married Anne Snyder in 2017, having met while she was his research assistant as he wrote The Road to Character. At the time of their wedding, he was 55 and she was 32.

The Road to Character...you really can't make this stuff up. Irony is truly dead.

He pretends to, but he never had them. Not shocking he hung out with Epstein. Guy is worthless and 100 percent part of the reason the conservative party is a cult of morons with the same.lack of brains ethics and morals as he has. Fuck him. He has nothing to offer but to shut up and go away. We don't need or want a pedo like him.
