Thune, Musk, the Dec 5 meeting, and Thune's "perhaps cuts in Social Security" comments

I'm seeing social media flooded with posts about "Thune announcing cuts to Social Security."

That's led to fact-checking and damage control.

Thune basically made a comment about meeting with Musk & Ramaswamy and the "cuts they're looking at," and it SEEMS that they recommended Social Security "as an example," but Thune did not explicitly come out and "announce cuts to Social Security."

It's complicated. You can read all about it here: https://www.wral.com/story/fact-check-did-new-senate-leader-announce-plans-to-cut-social-security/21787987/

So Thune DID NOT SAY "WE ARE CUTTING SOCIAL SECURITY."

and, he DID NOT SAY "WE AREN'T."

The reason I am sharing this is that I'm alarmed that Musk is still meeting with Republicans "as an advisor," and that he still has a hard-on for Social Security, especially after the DOGE SHIT damage he's already done.

Yeah. I know that. That's why I referenced the Dec 5 meeting in the subject line, as in "LESS THAN A MONTH AGO." Miles Archer Jan 3 #5

His "departure" was supposed to satisfy us that there would be no more DOGE damage. I think he will use the same tools to secure a Republican majority that he did to get Trump elected. And, I believe he did do that. This is what we need to get ahead of.

That's why I diidn't post it in "Latest Breaking News."

No idea why you think I did otherwise, but have a nice day, and thank you for your attention in this manner.
