Maybe Trump will appoint Marcia Clark as Special Prosecutor for Maduro. Just watch, the Supremes will suddenly allow televised trials in federal court and we will get tariff free popcorn to watch the Greatest Show on Earth take place in the heart of New York City. An interesting aspect is the fact that the administration has removed protected status for Venezuelan immigrants. I don't know that it is a slam dunk that they will get a conviction.
Trump is very susceptible to delusions because of his narcissism. This is another one of them.

Maduro gets a trial? on TV?

I am cynical enough to expect that 2026 will bury this Maduro thing under:

war on Iran
regime change or color revolution in Columbia
a stand off over Taiwan
"$2,000" tariff checks issued during the midterms elections and signed by orange guy
endless culture war trolling for the midterms
ballrooms, arts centers, victory arches and golf courses
invasion of a former colonial country in Africa, likely Niger
a major spike in beef prices
etc.

If the non-build-up to this attack is any indication then there is no appetite for making media about Maduro. The illusion of self-governance in south america is only preserved by keeping these things as brief as possible. Maduro will be less of a blip than Grenada or the Falklands.
