We can purify them out of the party and Noem would still be exactly where she is today.

Our fascist enemies are higher on my list of priorities than our imperfect allies.

They could do a press conference and rescind their votes, ask Republicans to join in rescinding.

If they get a majority, someone could move to impeach or censure her.

…needed to vote for Noem to what…placate Republican voters, no matter how much it pissed off Democratic voters? Are we that weak in those two states to where we need all four Senators to performatively vote against our interests?

We are not weak, but this weakens us. Pandering to Republicans does not help, it hurts. "How bad can Trump be if your Democratic Senators support things he does?" I hear that in rural Michigan.

Why discuss politics, as far as that goes? We can't focus on those who enable our real enemies?

And we wonder why people tune out.

Republicans thank them for their service.

If people are so upset with a handful of Democrats casting (ultimately meaningless) votes for Republican nominees, elect a Democrat to the White House so they won't be able to.

And draw the distinction between what she testified she would do and what she's actually doing, eg. "I voted for you despite my fellow Democratic senators' objections so I think you owe me an answer on this..." Democrats should use all the leverage they have, even the things they should be embarrassed for.

Kaine is from Virginia, he is one of our two Democratic senators, Mark Warner being the other.

Kaine was re-elected in 2024 by a margin of 54.5 - 44.5 over a weak Republican. He will be up for re-election in 2010.

Warner was re-elected in 2020 by a margin of 56 - 44 over a weak Republican. He is up for re-election in 2026. As yet, no Republican has announced against him although a few mental midgets have let it be known they want to run against Warner.
