Hegemony is, essentially, the solidifying of a class/caste system into something that lasts forever.

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer, because the poor are caught up in a system given to them by the rich.

We use their Facebook. We consume their news. We buy from their supermarkets.

the bad guy, played by Charles Dance, tries to remake the world by releasing dormant giant monsters referred to as "monarchs."

The billionaires all want to be the monarchs of the new world. We might need to stop feeding them.
