Could infidelity in the general population give

Neut the GOP nomination because so many people don't care any more because they've done it?

The religious reich makes morality an imperative unless it works against them, then they rationalize it. But I wonder if actual numbers of unfaithful spouses are making a difference in excusing him?

though Democrats never claim family values. The repugs don't care though when it's one of their own. Which makes me think that even amongst the average repug voter there is plenty if cheating going on.

if he had beaten his wife, if he had raped his wife, if he had beaten or raped a mistress, then it might be something.

Most people had enough of it with Bill Clinton and are innoculated to the scandal.

I would think that the overall hypocrisy would be the main point, no one thing but add it all up and he is hypocritical in every way possible.

not many have behaved as despicably as Newt, cheating on wives with serious illnesses, discussing divorce with his wife while she was in the hospital, saying of his first wife "She's not young enough or pretty enough to be the wife of the President. And besides, she has cancer", and hypocritically criticizing Clinton's affair while conducting one of his own.
