Fatigue Has Set In.....

I've had it. We've just made it through 4 years of stonewalling by the Repugs and the last 2 years were basically a campaign for the next 4 years. We've suffered through the Repug primaries with the Repug clown car. We suffered through the Presidential campaign.

The news media - especially the cable news networks have been relentless in their coverage and in their knack for scaring the American Public half to death with always the next Armageddon that will create havoc in this country.

Now it's the fiscal cliff. Tomorrow it will be another debt limit fight. They're creating a scary situation with 'gun control' and people running out and buying guns and ammo in response to their round the clock coverage.

But the thing that irks me the most is with all this going on - they have begun to talk about the elections of 2014 and 2016 already. My god - we've just been through all of that - can't they give it a rest and give the American People a chance to recover.

This is why fatigue has set in with me. I'm tired of it. Please just give us a year without talking about the next election - without creating another battle. I'm almost convinced that they are the contributing factor for all the dissension we're seeing between the Dems and the Repugs. Please stop this constant fear mongering and battle creation. Stop!!! Stop!!! Stop!!!

American television "news" is the worst possible source for information.

You can get more information about real issues from LBN than you'll find on tv.

When Bush was selected as president, and even more so after the 9-11 attacks, I learned how bad American mainstream news services are. I started reading The Guardian UK and was more informed about what was going on in the U.S. than anyone who relied upon American tv news for information.

Other nations don't have to please the task masters that corporate media must do in order to exist in the U.S.

Honestly, tv news shows, other than Democracy Now! and PBS News Hour, are a waste of your time. They skew your perceptions and force you to participate in the bread and circuses of American political media and distract from the real issues at hand.

We're not going to get much done with this House in 2015-2016 unless we take it back and increase the numbers of progressive Dems in both houses.

then they never get a chance to govern. The longer they can make a campaign season, the less they can do, and the more money is required, and the more profits can be made by adverts.
